There are two standard legal documents that will need to be signed:
A lease agreement (typically 20 years) that allows Cardinal Solar Capital
to use your roof (or other) space to install the solar panels and access
them a few times per year to hose them off.
A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) that says you will purchase the power
we generate from the solar panels - over the same timeframe as the lease.
Both documents have been reviewed and approved by multiple
attorneys and multiple companies.
"A cheaper way to get solar power installed" UCSF wanted solar power for its new Mission Bay campus but was daunted by the cost. So the school found a new way to go solar - get someone else to pay for it. "It's very simple - we got someone else to take on the headaches, and we get the power,"
